Scott Gunner Contact

"That was you?" Philadelphia-born, Scott Gunner is used to this question. As an actor, Scott has built a reputation for being able to disappear into roles vastly different from each other. He recently returned from Florida where he performed as Sam in Shenandoah, multiple roles including Georges and Jacko in Piaf, The Narrator in The Dooples (Roy Arias Theater), and Constable in the critically praised production of Fiddler on the Roof (Upper Darby Summer Stage). Additionally, Scott has been seen as a number of diverse characters in other plays and musicals with the Theater for the New City, Temple Theaters, Philadelphia Young Playwrights and CCP Theater.

Scott received his B.A. in Theater with a concentration in acting from Temple University. There he studied under and performed with accomplished directors and actors such as Doug Wager, Edward Sobel, Peter Reynolds, Donna Snow and many more. He has also spent years training in musical theater at Settlement Music School under the Philadelphia Opera Company’s Katherine Mallon-Day.

Scott will next be working with the Woodstock Playhouse in Woodstock, NY for their 2015 summer season. He will be playing Jud in Oklahoma!, as well as performing in Sweeney Todd, Spring Awakening, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. His home, however, is in Brooklyn and is excited to continue making art and building relationships with other performers and audiences across the country.
